I work in PR for a major health care system. Most of what I do entails digital media production (audio, video, photography), writing (articles, ghost writing, scripts, press releases) and editing.
I'm a happy mother of two, love to dance and sing and I'm happy to be making my way in the salsa scene. I'm meeting some fabulous people!
- How I started
I started taking ballroom classes several years ago and fell in love with swing but that kinda' fell out of popularity after a while - and my life got busy. Fast-forward several years; after breaking off an engagement I needed to get back out and find myself again, and get back to what I love. I found out about the August workshops from a friend and decided to give it a shot. I spent the day getting spanked into realizing I had a lot to learn, went to the social the next day, and have been attending Thursday nights at Harem and socials for the last two months (and checkign out other places to dance along the way when I can).
I've gotten to know the instructors and take as much instruction from them as I can, in addition to making sure I take every class I can. It's paying off and I'm loving it. Maybe I'll be signing up with a studio soon - I need some polish and the idea of competing really sounds great right now!
