Salsa Summer 09

DJ Marc B - June Playlist

My favorite two types of salsa are classic salsa and latin jazz. This playlist will highlight the latter. Jazzy salsa tunes seem to be pretty polarizing and you either love them or hate them, but even if you don't enjoy dancing to this type of music hopefully you will enjoy listening to it. If you like these tracks be sure to also check out Bobby Paunetto, Monguito Santamaria, Machito, Tito Rodriguez, and Noro Morales.

Ok... I was listening to Eddie Palmieri's songs today and realized that they are just great songs to dance to. That is why I put many of his songs this month in my playlist. I love the first part of “Revolt”. It is a little bit fast but it is an awesome composition with a heavy dose of energy.  He also composed this great cha cha "Kinkamache". By the way, he is the brother of Charlie Palmieri whom you may remember from February's playlist. Hope you enjoy listening to his songs as much as he enjoyed composing them!! - Koki
