Salsa Scene Review

I was in Atlanta last week & had a chance to dance at the new Tongue & Groove.I'd recommend it.

So, I posted this question on MySpace, but I also wanted to see if anyone here knows of good places to go in Las Vegas to dance salsa - advice or feedback not found when performing a Google search suc

As another contributor recently noted, salsa is becoming an international sensation. I just wanted to share the experience I had while on vacation in Thailand.

Albert Lai and I recently had the opportunity to visit Thailand during the Thai New Year celebration (Songkran). Part of the trip was spent in Bangkok, where we were able to do some salsa dancing.

Anyone know of any good places to dance in Muskegon and Grand Rapids? I'll be traveling this month & want to dance.

Now that the calendar has almost turned to May, can we say that through 1/3 of the year that 2008 is going to be the best year of Salsa the state of Michigan has ever seen?

I am in Chicago for a 2 day business trip and wondering what are the places to dance weekday nights specifically - Wednesday and Thursday.

Whew!!! We've barely started the 3rd month of 2008 and already there has an extraordinary amount of activity this year!

- New Latin nights popping up all the time
- Salsa Socials seemingly every weekend.
- Incredible live music is a weekly event
- Salsa Recognition awards night (and of course Nellie's birthday!)
- The fabulous Gilberto Santa Rosa made a visit and wowed Detroit on February 19th.
- We've already had a Jack and Jill contest that had Salsa dancing as one of the required dances
- Salsa house parties!
- DETROIT DANCERS INVADED AND RULED THE CHICAGO SALSA CONGRESS!!!
- Detroit to be listed on SalsaPower.com as a Salsa city

These are fantastic happenings already this year. If I've forgotten anything else, please post it..
