This it type of club that salseros everywhere yearn for. It's a night at a club that plays salsa music for the majority of the night with plenty of space to dance. Also played is the occasional Cha Cha, Merengue, and Bachata. Currently there are only 3 nightclubs in the Detroit are that qualify for this category.

Since opening night in November 2009, Woody's has quickly become a hot spot for salseros. The spacious wood dance floor was put in specially for the dancers and the layout and makes it ideal for dancing, socializing and having a good time.

A rotating set of instructors and DJs and special events mean there is always something new and exciting for salseros and lovers of latin music.

Salsa Night @ Sangria Wednesdays

Hosted by SalsaDetroit.com in downtown Royal Oak, Sangria on Wednesdays has been the longest running hotspot for salsa with now over 10 years. At about 9:00pm night kicks off with a complementary salsa lesson by duane Wrenn of Energetic Soul Studios. The class is followed up by opening the dance floor to the sounds of Timba and Cuban flavored salsa tracks for about an hour. DJ Cisco closes out the night with a healthy mix of Merengues, Reggaeton , Bachatas, and of course more Salsa! Check out the newly renovated upstairs
