Another year of the Chicago Salsa Congress and another great weekend to look forward to! Once again, many Detroit salseros will make their way to Chicago for yet another year of dancing, workshops, and top-notch performances. Unlike some of the other congresses that are temptingly located in great locations for shopping or playing on the beach, this one is by the airport and thus, it's all about dancing.

Quality of workshops, perfomances, dancing, overall cost and last years great improvement in service, make this a best value for the dollar congress.

Gear up for the sixth annual Canada Salsa Congress in the heart of downtown Toronto. A truely quality event, this promises to be a great opportunity for Detroit salseros to get out, dance and see some sights. With low travel costs and affordable hotel and lots of people to share a room and a ride with, its great for those on a budget to try out the "congresso" circuit.

Chicago Salsa Congress 2008

The Chicago Salsa Congress continues to light up the midwest salsa scene. No doubt plane, train and car loads of Detroit salseros will make their way to Chicago for another year for dancing, workshops and top notch performances. Unlike some of the other Congress that are temptingly located in great locations for shopping or playing on the beach, this one is by the airport and thus, it's all about dancing.

For the quality of workshops, perfomances, dancing and overall cost, in the humble opinion of this writer, this is the dollar for dollar best bet for a congress.

2007 Salsa Rueda Congress in Miami

The Salsa Rueda Congress is your excuse to get down to the famous South Beach and dip your toes just as winter gets going here in Detroit. World famous salseros Henry Herrera and Billy Fajardo present four days of Miami and Cuban style dancing, fun and sun.

Detroit highlights for this event include lessons by duane Wrenn and a perfomance celebrating Afro-Cuban dance by the Energetic Soul dance team. Members of the 2005 Energetic Soul Dance Team took 2nd Place in both the Casino de Rueda and couples competitions.

2007 NYC Salsa Congress

NYC Salsa Congress:

Each Labor Day weekend the New York Salsa Congress draws a huge crowd of salsa pros and enthusiasts from all over the planet to midtown Manhattan for four nights of dancing till dawn. The Hilton features a 25000 square foot dance floor where the party goes on till 5 AM on Friday and Saturday night. Primarily an On2 event the NYSC is a great opportunity to expand your dancing stylistically and see the Big Apple.
