The Red Parrot Lounge has been one of Detroit's biggest latin nights over the last year, but that is coming to an end this Saturday as La Rumba moves to Club TV downtown.

Hosted by SalsaDetroit.com and located inside of the Holiday Inn in Southfield, the Red Parrot offers two rooms for dancing. The first features DJ Cisco with Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, the second with DJ Carlos Seda spinning hiphop, reggaeton and top 40.

Tiempo Libre Mother's Day Concert with the DSO

The Detroit Symphony Orchestra will host a Mother's Day concert with Miami latin jazz stars Tiempo Libre. Tiempo Libre will join the DSO in performing a piece by Venezuelan composer Ricardo Lorenz & Tiempo Libre pianist Jorge Gómez. Rumba Sinfónica celebrates Cuba’s musical heritage and features Tiempo Libre's danceable Timba roots.

This is a great oppportunity to celebrate Mom and have a great musical experience.
