The dust has settled from the first round of eliminations. Here are your finalist!

Congratz to the finalist, next week they compete for the grand prize of $1000!
Note to the contestants: All contestants must arrive at Sangria no later than 10:30pm, Wednesday, February 27th to claim their spots. Any late arivals forfeits their position in the contest and an alternate will take his/her place.
Alternates are:
Males: Jerry and George
Females: Marci and Shamim
At 11pm, the contestants will once again be issued random partners.

Going into the competition the rules were still a bit of a mystery but they were finally laid out just before the competition began.

Going into the competition the rules were still a bit of a mystery but they were finally laid out just before the competition began.
What went down for the preliminary round
- The Jack & Jill contest begins with 15 men and 15 women
- Men and women were randomly paired
- The 15 couples competed in the following 3 dances:
Salsa, Cha Cha, and a random song of either Merenegue, Bachata, or Reggaeton - A panel of judges scored each couple.
- The judges scores were tallies and the top 10 couples were advanced to the final round.
- The 10 women and 10 men finalist will once more be randomly assigned a partner!
- In the event that a finalist is unable to participate, an alternate will be selected from the list to take their place.
- The 10 couples will compete in the following 3 dances:
Salsa, Cha Cha, and a random song of either Merenegue, Bachata, or Reggaeton - A panel judges will score each couple.
- The couple with the most points will be delclared winner and be awarded $1000!!
That is about it. I should be a good show and a fun time. We hope to see you there!

Update:
I heard this question asked a lot and was wondering myself but I just confirmed with Cisco and Duane that the $1000 grand prize for the Jack & Jill Contest at Sangria will go to the couple and NOT the individual.
I hope that clears things up for some of us!
