Latin Night @ Papi O's Nightclub, Ypsilanti

I had my first opportunity to go to Papi O's last night with several of my buddies from the Ypsilanti Salsa Meetup group. I enjoyed the dance lesson by Chad Brown, a decidedly suave latino. The class was small but it was partner work-oriented from the get go, which was a nice change. We were actually able to go from the lesson to dancing immediately because the beginner guys had a decent routine to practice just as the lights went down.

There was plenty of salsa music at first but it had the same problem as Heidelberg, too many songs in one style in a row and it got worse as the night went on. I had to break away from some decent dancers because I was getting a cramp in my behind during long sets of merengue or bachata. It was overall a decent place, but it too was couples oriented and I ended up dancing with the same three people all night.

This is Chad, I am an instructor at Papio's Latino Dance Club. What I like about Papio's is the fast double level dance floor, open area, sound and light quality and of coarse The Ownership and staff. These are some of the nicest people in town and Mark does so much for the community, a real Gentleman. This is a great Ann Arbor area Hot Spot whether your bringing your dressed up partner or a group of friends. The two rooms give you plenty of room to entertain your party.
In the sports area you can show your partner or friends that you still have a few moves left. their are pool tables, dart boards and a juke box. You can lounge on the leather sofas and watch the game of the day or talk the ear off any off the super cool bartenders.
I take the floor every other Saturday night at 9:00. I'll see you in class 8/3.
