Top of The Park Ann Arbor!
This was sooo fun!! However being a pretty seasoned salsera I was soooo mad at myself!! Note to self (and others) concrete and heels do not a good dancing night make!! So if I didn't get in a dance with you it's probably because I was there right at 6:30 so by 8:30 when most of the dancers started showing, my heart was in it but my feet were through!!! Also during Laura's lesson, someone doing the cumbia step, did it right on my toes!! But again I should have known an out door event should get outdoor shoes!! A BIG THANKS TO JESSICA S for getting some ice for my poor toes!!! You are a true salsera!!! Grupo Salvaje was fabuloso as always!! Thanks to Laura for the class!! That was by far the biggest salsa class I have ever seen even at Congresses and they did pretty well! I heard one woman say "Wow, they're actually dancing!!" I hope they do it again next year and I hope we find a weekend salsa spot soon!! Heidi
Top of the Park: a perfect evening.
It was a perfect evening at the Top of the Park in Ann Arbor. Groupo Salvaje was awesome!!! It was good to see everyone dancing, not just the salseros, but everyone in front of the stage just shakin' it. It was good to see people laughin' and smilin'. The weather was beautiful, the food was tasty, Laura had everyone on their feet for a basic lesson. It was cool to see all these folks tryin' out our favorite dance. I could definally use another evening like this.

Yes, as usual Laura did an awesome job, and THE WHOLE CROWD joined in & did what they could, many did pretty good! It was great to see again how "regular" people want to join the salsa world! It's addictive! (~:~)

You are welcome Heidi! I felt your pain, literally! One thing I loved about the TOP event was that well after the class, I saw couple after couple, and groups of people, however awkwardly, doing their best to dance along - I think a few dozen new salseros have been born - let's hope they find their way to YA!
