Salsa Night moving to Friday at The Harem!!

At least unitl another salsa Thursday pops up. I'm always wiped out and griping on Friday morning, but I'm pretty much used to it at this point. It will be strange to have Thursday off.

P.S. I have been to Agua de Luna and Antilla, but it was 5 years ago and its tough for me to remember what nights were good or which was which. What I do remember is that the dancing on Tuesday night didn't even start till midnight and people were still coming in the club at 4 AM. So get some ciestas in before you go. Barcelona has the best food bar none (sorry if that offends anyone's sensiblities) so enjoy!

I am happy to know that are as excited about it as I am. Like george said... No more Friday morning hell :)

Actually the reason we are moving to has little to nothing to do with attracting a drinking crowd. Although, we are hoping that the current salsa people will buy a more drinks... or even one drink :)

It is no secret, most salseros are not heavy drinkers and Thursday nights at the Harem certainly reinforced that fact. So it came as a surprise to us when we were offered Friday nights. Especially when the entire length of the bar on their current Friday night was stacked 5 people deep with people buying drinks all night. So why is the Harem ownership giving us the night? Well sometimes it is not all about making the maximum amount of dollars. The Harem ownership still has ot pay the bills but at some point they decided that they would rather pay the bills with a salsa night on Friday rather then the usual Hip Hop night. I can say without a doubt that being around the great group of people that salsa brings together did a lot to help make decision of quality of quantity a lot easier.

Of course the SKY Mambo Team jumped at the opportunity. We had to get up for work early Friday morning just like everyone else. Now that Thursday Salsa Nights are moving to Fridays it, will be a whole lot easier on our tired old bodies.

So be sure to buy a drink so I don't have to get up Friday morning anymore :)

And don't worry, you will not be wanting for salsa. We didn't start this just to have a latin night, we started this so we could all have a SALSA NIGHT!

I've been so on the fence about this - but I have to say that I am at peace with the notion that I will be up much later on a Friday night doing what I love and also still able to sleep in the next day! it certainly is a testament to the quality of entertainment and people who frequent Harem on Thursdays that they would offer to change nights. I'm so happy. I'll be sure to buy an extra drink!!
