Dance ettiquette revisited

I feel it necessary to revisit proper dance ettiquette after hitting the floor upon being knocked off my feet by a nearby dancer at the Ya Salsa Social on Sunday. Dang that floor is hard! My partner did not drop me. The hit to the side of my ankle was not intentional & I hold no bad feelings for the person whose foot inadvertantly felled me. It wasn't even a hard hit. There are strategic points on the human body vulerable to taking us down instantly from the right vantage point & I unfortuantely went down. It was not crowded at the time. Other than a small bruise on my, shall I say, lower right cheek, & ankle, and a terribly bruised ego, I am fine.
I am, however, concerned that skilled dancers are not consistently demonstrating dance space ettiquette & safety. Novice dancers are in the learning phase affording them more empathy. Hopefully the new salseros are not modeling behavior. I stood on the sidelines afterwards and watched skilled vs new salseros in action. Two instructors were repeatedly invading other dancers' spaces nearly missing them. Other dancers of all levels were not maintaining dance space. I had to check my own behavior at one point in going out too far on the 5 count.
As a reminder I am referencing two articles on dance ettiquette, one of which I wrote. So, lets all be more considerate of each other and be safe. It beats a bruised bumm or ego any day.
