Music at Harem.. definitely changed on Thursday 11/29

Yesterday (11/29) I was at the Harem and I have to admit the music mix was less Salsa and more Merengue /Bachata.. It was almost like 1/3 of each. Are we still in trial mode - when are we going to back to to the way it was before. Or maybe come to an equilibrium that pervades our lives - the 80/20 rule - 80% salsa and 20% other.. It is still a Salsa Bar, right?
Now that is funny!
You must have only been there for 30 minutes to have an experience like that! I did all the DJ'ing that night and in those 4 hours I played maybe 6 bachatas and 4 merengues. The rest was salsa.
Thanks for the feedback! It is good to know that there are people out there wanting more salsa. And even better to know that there are people out there like me who think you can never play too much salsa!

Where else?
Where else can you tell the DJ what you thought of the music the night before? And he responds? Really - nowhere else. I sincerely hope people will take a look at the playlists and point out what they like or don't like. Make suggestions.
I've noticed that Harem is trying out different combinations of music -- including chacha, hustle, bachata and merengue in the mix. Like any club, they have to accomodate a variety of tastes so -- it it will probably bounce around a bit. Regardless I hope you keep supporting the club and thanks for the feedback.

Also, I love the merengue songs that you can hustle too. I get so excited and make a bee-line for someone I know can hustle. If only more guys could!

I loved the music last nite. Being latina, I love salsa, but I also enjoy merengue & bachata & the ones played were very good, traditional ones. May,,,be... not as a criticism, a bit too many cha-chas that I also love, but not enough male dancers know it. Think maybe we should teach a bit of cha-cha?
