If only every week could be as good as that one :)

Now that is the way it should be!!!
Live music on the stage with and a huge dance floor filled with every salsero in the city throwin' down all night! It was an uncommon move to have a salsa night with live music Thursday night but it all worked out nicely. Grupo Salvaje impressed us yet again with the quality of their sound and the wide variety of old and new salsa. There were a lot of first-time people at the Harem Nightclub, hopefully some of them will return for our regular nights with DJ Shekyla. And people were buying drinks! Either bottled water or some of the other more exotic options. And as most of you salsa veterans know, high drink sales on a salsa night is a rare thing.

Thank you all for coming out and enjoying the live music with us. And an even bigger thanks to our regular club visitors. Without your continued support, having something like live music would not be remotely possible. THANK YOU!! Every week the SKY Mambo Team puts a lot of work into making these nights perfect for learning and dancing salsa. More then anything, your love for the night is what keeps us going.

A special thanks goes out to:

• Koki & Sebastian for always being there to help during the frantic set up
• Ken for taking so many great pictures throughout the night (pictures posted yet)
• Mohammad for sticking with us this long. Water Smuggling aside, he's still putting up with us! He made sure the parking lot was cleaned up and the other building facilities were fully armed and operational!
• and last but not least Lamar for his leadership and service behind the bar

Like I said, it takes a lot of work to sustain a successful weekly salsa night at a nightclub. But with people like these in our salsa community we have a good chance of sticking around for a long long time :)
