Please join George & Renee for a informal Pre-Social meal at Champps Americana of Livonia!



Pre Social Dinner at Champps in Livonia
Renee brought it up and they decided to put it together because as everyone knows, once the music starts at a social there is not a lot of time to talk :). All are welcome to meet and socialize over great food and in a fun environment.

What a great way to get energized before a fun evening of dancing. Get to know each other better and maybe meet some new friends along the way!

The meet is at 4pm and if you're interested, please Sign Up by Saturday 10/27.

First of all, I'd like to thank Renee, Jessica, Heather, Issac and Mala for a great dinner. Renee and I tried our first attempt at putting together an open invite dinner before the social. While numerically it wasn't all that successful; I have to say that I really enjoyed the company and it was fun. As planned, we met over at Champps in Livonia which really turned out to be a pretty good choice. The location, service and food were good and the noise was not a problem at all.

I have not personally been to this Champps so no way to speak to that. I'll assume they are all constructed the same. We can meet somewhere else if someone can suggest a restaurant with similar menu that can accomodate either 10 or 100 people without notice on Sunday. We're hoping to get RSVPs, but beg or plead, that probably won't happen.

I believe that all the Champps are loud because of the T.V's. You will have to shout. I would choose Bahama Breeze instead.

I think we'll have a good turnout and in the future we'll probably do this again -- maybe even on a non-social day so the guys setting up the social day can join. So we'll keep other options open like Bahama Breeze. I'm not really sure on the relative size of the restaurants.

The restaurants I know of in Livonia are quite small and intimate. Sorry. Unless there is some place like Moys with the large tables.

This Champps isn't that small and with a reservation they can put a group together - they even have a room off to the side we might be able to reserve if we can get a group large enough.

I'm planning on wearing my Halloween costume to the social. Anyone else going to Champs in costume? I don't really look foward to squeezing into mine in the car on the drive between places (tho the other drivers might get a kick out of it!).

I wanted to say that it was a great idea to get a group of us together - the people who attended dinner before the social were very interesting and the conversation didn't just revolve around salsa! I look forward to doing this again - before a social or on another occasion - to make new friends and learn about others.
