Note to Beginners: Practice your basics!
For those of you just getting started... to get the biggest bang for your buck at the YA workshops (or any workshop), remember to practice the basic steps before attending. That way you can concentrate on learning the more advanced moves instead of spending all your time relearning the basic steps. After all, we're not bringing these exceptional salseros to Detroit just to show us the basics. We want them to teach us the good stuff!
Don't know the basics?
There are plenty of local studios where you can learn the salsa basics and more. Check out www.yasalsa.com/classes for a list salsa classes in the Detroit and Ann Arbor areas.
YA Salsa will also offer a FREE* beginner class right before the workshops as a warm-up and refresher!
