2007 Salsa Rueda Congress in Miami
The Salsa Rueda Congress is your excuse to get down to the famous South Beach and dip your toes just as winter gets going here in Detroit. World famous salseros Henry Herrera and Billy Fajardo present four days of Miami and Cuban style dancing, fun and sun.
Detroit highlights for this event include lessons by duane Wrenn and a perfomance celebrating Afro-Cuban dance by the Energetic Soul dance team. Members of the 2005 Energetic Soul Dance Team took 2nd Place in both the Casino de Rueda and couples competitions.
With a pre-party on Thursday night the congress gets into the real swing of things with lessons on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, great performances and competitions on Friday and Saturday nights highlighting professional and amateur dance teams from all over the world. On Sunday night the congress ends with a wrap up party at one of Miami's top salsa clubs.
