 The 2008 Chicago Salsa Festival is gearing up to take over downtown Chicago with four days and nights of dancing indoor and out. The festival is centered at the historic Palmer House hotel in the financial district downtown. The Palmer house is known for its huge elegant ballrooms and is a perfect location to access everything downtown including shopping, restaurants and of course the beach. Organizers Lisa "La Boriqua" & Latin Street Dancing have lined up 30 workshops, lots of performances and live concerts each night at nearby clubs and during the Taste of Chicago festival in Grant Park.

The Mix n Mingle series continues at Nina's Rhythm & Spirits! Hosts Renee Orr and Roger of New Carribean are offering another after work happening with delicious international buffet, premier salsa instructions, and open dancing. The mingler happens this Thursday starting at 6:00 PM and continues all night with DJ Issac spinnging 90% salsa and and Elaine Marerro of Troy Dance studio providing lessons.
