Most of the 200 students, parents, and teachers that are expected to attend know very little about the Detroit Salsa Community. Salsa scene regulars know frontman Steve Jarosz and Escobar well from Sundays at Sangria. Now you have the chance to experience them in a larger venue of Club 20, an upscale nightclub two blocks from the riverfront. They host Latin Fever Fridays and feature extended bar hours and VIP room and booths. In between sets, DJs Chino & Ivan will spin a latin mix of salsa, bachata, merengue and reggaeton.

Salsa hits the river with a Havana Nights cruise aboard the luxurious 138 foot yacht Ovation in what promises to be a night to remember. The cruise features tasty treats including a gourmet menu , open bar and live Cuban music from Grupo Escobar. Hosted by Metropolitan Events, Havana Nights is part of their Summer Cruise series where they host up to 300 guests on cruises combining fine dining and live entertainment. The Detroit Symphony Orchestra presents a fundraising afterglow salsa party following the Arturo Sandoval concert on Saturday, June 14th, wrapping up their Latin-inspired season titled ¡Sinfonía Caliente!. The Noche afterglow starts at 8:00 PM and features late-night salsa dancing with the band Orquestra Ire' at 10 p.m. in the first floor Atrium. The Noche club level tickets are $125/person or $1500 for a six-person VIP cabana. Features inlcude a mojito bar and outdoor cigar lounge.
