Saturday, October 20, 2007, MDSA and The BIG DANCE take over the the Masonic Temple in Detroit, with FOUR ballrooms of dancing including ballroom, swing, sala and tango. This is a first class event aiming to bring together dancers of all styles into a full day of workshops, performances, competitions and social dancing.

For Detroit, Windsor and Ann Arbor salseros, this is a great opportunity to try out other modes of dancing with some of the Detroit area's top instructors.

Who knew you could make the world a better place by dancing? Actually, it seems pretty obvious. In pursuit of their mission to:

"Bridge the divide between wealthy and developing countries by providing capital, employment, and opportunities for cultural exchange."

Saturday October 20th, the Nicaragua Project will hold a salsa fundraiser featuring the sounds and energy of Detroit's own Orchestra La Inspiracion. This event will bridge the divide between good deeds and great dancing.

Ann Arbor's Proyecto Sabor takes over the Michigan Leauge Underground room for a night of high-energy salsa, merengue, bachata, and even some reggaeton. MSalsa will provide free dance lessons and a casino de rueda perfomance highlighting cuban style dancing.
