Our Mission
"To create an environment in which salsa dancers of all levels and styles can thrive in the Detroit area."
The YA Socials and workshops, this website and our participation in salsa education are our tools to achieving this vision.
Who We Are
The YA Team is a group of salsa enthusiasts who volunteer their time and energy to advance and grow the salsa dancing community. All of the proceeds we gather are put right back into the Detroit Metro community of salsa dancers. We keep nothing for ourselves. For the most part, all proceeds are used to host our socials, spread the word about salsa and pay for premier salsa instructors from around the country to lead workshops, dazzle us with performances, and show us how far we can really go with salsa if we so desire.
With your support we will continue to bring instructors/performers in from across the country and do whatever else is within our power to help the Detroit salsa dance community thrive.
In short, we are a group who love the music, love the dance, love our community; and have in us the desire to see our Detroit salsa community continue to grow bigger and better!
